Trump calls Iran strike "excellent", hints at more to come
US President Donald Trump has praised a major strike on Iran, calling it “excellent” and warning that further action may follow, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
“I think it’s been excellent. We gave them a chance, and they didn’t take it. They got hit hard, very hard," Caliber.Az quotes Trump as saying on US media.
"They got hit about as hard as you're going to get hit. And there’s more to come. A lot more.”
When asked whether the United States had been directly involved in the attack, Trump declined to confirm any involvement, stating: “I don’t want to comment on that.”
The comments come as speculation intensifies over the extent of US coordination in the recent wave of strikes targeting multiple sites in Iran.
In a separate statement posted on Truth Social, Trump referenced a two-month ultimatum he claims to have issued to Tehran:
“Two months ago, I gave Iran a 60-day ultimatum to ‘make a deal.’ They should have done it! Today is day 61. I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance!”
Trump’s remarks are likely to further inflame an already volatile situation, as regional powers and global actors call for restraint in the wake of the latest escalation.
