Trump calls on all Middle Eastern countries to join Abraham Accords
US President Donald Trump has urged all Middle Eastern nations to join the Abraham Accords after Iran’s nuclear arsenal got “totally obliterated” in June.
“Now that the nuclear arsenal being ‘created’ by Iran has been totally OBLITERATED, it is very important to me that all Middle Eastern Countries join the Abraham Accords,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, Caliber.Az reports.
He stated that this will ensure peace in the Middle East.
The Abraham Accords, first announced in 2020 during Trump’s first presidency, are a series of normalisation agreements between Israel and several Arab states, brokered by the United States. The agreement started with the UAE and Bahrain in 2020, after US mediation. Since then, Sudan and Morocco have also agreed to normalise relations with Israel.
