Trump claims approval ratings surpass election-day peak
US President Donald Trump claimed in a post on Truth Social that his approval ratings are now higher than they were immediately after his election victory.
“Highest Poll Numbers Ever. Even Higher than Election Day, November 5th. This despite the fact that, IRAN WILL NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!,” the American leader wrote.
Recent polls show President Trump's approval ratings have generally declined since the start of his second term and remain well below post-election highs.
Trump's approval rating started around 47% in late January 2025, shortly after taking office, but multiple surveys from mid-2025 through June 2026 indicate it has fallen into the mid-to-high 30s range amid concerns over the economy, inflation, and foreign policy issues like Iran.
