Trump declares himself TikTok’s biggest star: “I am the number one”

US President Donald Trump claimed that videos featuring him are the most popular content on TikTok, a platform he claimed has been viewed by roughly half of the world’s population.

“I watched a couple of people critical of the fact that ‘TikTok, TikTok is so bad, so dangerous, is so horrible,’ <...> and the numbers came out yesterday. You know who is the number one on TikTok? I am. I am the number one on TikTok,” Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte ahead of the opening of the alliance’s plenary session in Ankara.

The US president also boasted that videos featuring him have accumulated 4 billion views.
