Media: Trump claims total control over Iranian airspace
US President Donald Trump has claimed that the US now holds full and absolute control over Iranian airspace.
“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, Caliber.Az reports, citing WSJ.
Trump acknowledged that Iran possesses decent aerial surveillance systems and other defensive equipment, but emphasised that such technology is no match for what has been conceived, developed, and manufactured in America.
Shortly before Trump’s remarks, reports emerged that the US is deploying a carrier strike group led by the USS Nimitz to the Middle East to bolster the protection of American military forces in the region.
According to a Pentagon source, the US Navy is also continuing operations in the eastern Mediterranean as part of broader efforts to safeguard national security interests.
