Trump claims US has secured Venezuela oil reserves for lifetime

The US has gained access to oil reserves sufficient to last a lifetime through an energy deal with Venezuela, President Donald Trump has said.

Addressing the governing Republican Party’s national convention held in Dallas ahead of the November midterm elections to the US Congress, Trump claimed that his administration built “excellent relations” with Caracas, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

“It’s the biggest oil deal, and probably it’s the biggest deal in the history of our country. 65 billion barrels are ours, and you know what they say it is? Lifetime, 500 years,” he added.
