Trump claims US “totally destroying” Iran’s military capabilities
US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States is “totally destroying” Iran’s leadership and military capabilities, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to escalate.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the United States was dismantling what he described as “the terrorist regime of Iran” through military, economic and other measures, as per Caliber.Az.
He criticised US media coverage of the war, singling out The New York Times, and argued that reports suggesting the US was not prevailing were incorrect.
Trump asserted that Iran’s navy and air force had effectively been eliminated and that its missiles and drones were being “decimated.” He also claimed that Iranian leaders had been “wiped from the face of the earth.”
The US president said American forces possessed “unparalleled firepower” and “unlimited ammunition,” adding that the United States had ample time to pursue its objectives.
"We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time - Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today. They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so! Thank you for your attention to this matter," he wrote.
