Trump congratulates Iraq’s nominee for prime minister

US President Donald Trump has congratulated Ali al-Zaydi on his nomination as Iraq’s next prime minister, expressing support for his potential appointment and wishing him success in forming a new government.

Sharing a post on Truth Social, Trump made it clear that he expects to see a new government free of terrorism that can ensure a brighter future for Iraq, Caliber.Az reports.

“We look forward to a strong, vibrant, and highly productive new relationship between Iraq and the United States. This is the beginning of a tremendous new chapter between our Nations — Prosperity, Stability, and Success like never seen before,” Trump wrote.
