Trump declares “complete victory” in Iran, signals return to war if ceasefire fails

In a phone interview with Sky News shortly after announcing a ceasefire with Iran, US President Donald Trump declared that the United States had achieved “everything that we wanted to do militarily” in the country, calling the outcome “a complete victory from that standpoint and from every other standpoint.”

Trump described the agreement as “good” but warned that if it fails, the US would return to military action without hesitation. “We go right back to it, very easily,” he said.

Iran's parliament deputy speaker Ali Nikzad has indicated that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei will not endorse a proposed agreement with the United States in Islamabad unless Washington complies with Tehran’s 10-point conditions for talks.
