Trump gives Iran 48 hours to reopen Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to strike Iran’s power plants if Tehran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.

“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” Trump wrote on his platform Truth Social.

The message was posted on March 21 at 23:44 GMT, giving Iran until 23:44 GMT on March 23 (03:14 Tehran time on March 24) to meet the demand.
