Trump heads to China for meeting with Xi Jinping

US President Donald Trump is set to depart for China on Tuesday, May 12, where he is expected to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, the White House confirmed.
He is scheduled to leave his residence at 1:40 p.m. Eastern Time before travelling to Joint Base Andrews and then flying to China with a refuelling stop in Alaska, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He is expected to arrive in Beijing on Wednesday, May 13.
Meetings between Trump and Xi are planned for May 14-15.
The visit had originally been scheduled for March 31 to April 2, but was postponed due to developments surrounding Iran.
