Trump hosts Turkish businessman in Washington to discuss trade, diplomacy
US President Donald Trump has met with Turkish businessman Haydar Çolakoglu, a Director at TEB Holding AS, in Washington, to discuss economic ties.
The discussion focused on enhancing economic and trade relations between the United States and Türkiye, highlighting both countries’ commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
President Trump underscored the strategic importance of strengthening ties with Türkiye and expanding avenues for trade collaboration. In response, Çolakoğlu expressed appreciation for Trump’s role in resolving eight international conflicts and his efforts in promoting global peace.
Describing the meeting as productive, President Trump conveyed his pleasure at hosting Çolakoğlu and expressed interest in welcoming him again in the future, signaling ongoing engagement between US leadership and Turkish business circles.
