Trump invites Poland's new president to Washington
US President Donald Trump has invited Poland’s newly inaugurated President Karol Nawrocki to Washington for an official working meeting scheduled for September 3, 2025, according to Pawel Szefernaker, chief of Nawrocki’s cabinet.
Nawrocki, who took office on August 6, has repeatedly highlighted the significance of strong Polish-US relations, Caliber.Az reports via Reuters.
The new president, supported by Poland’s main nationalist opposition party Law and Justice, met with Trump in the Oval Office just before the May Polish election, where he secured the US leader’s endorsement for his candidacy.
Szefernaker confirmed on X that Trump extended the invitation in an official congratulatory letter delivered on Nawrocki’s inauguration day.
