Trump: Iran agrees to permanently abandon nuclear weapons plans

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that Iranian authorities have agreed to permanently abandon any plans to acquire nuclear weapons.

“I don't have to go over the list but it starts with no nuclear weapons and they've agreed to that. They're not going to have enrichment or any of those things,” he said.

The American leader did not specify who exactly Washington is holding consultations with. Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that they do not seek to obtain nuclear weapons.
