Trump: “Iran was going to take over the Middle East”
President Donald Trump asserted that Iran was going to “take over the Middle East” if the US and Israel did not strike first.
“Iran’s a very powerful country. They were going to take over the Middle East. If we did not hit them, they were going to take over the Middle East,” Trump stated at a Florida press briefing, repeating points he previously shared with ABC News.
The president claimed that “most” of Iran’s missiles and other weaponry have now been destroyed and noted they were “aimed at Middle Eastern countries that had nothing to do with this.”
Trump also said Iran intended to target Israel, but the US “stopped it with good timing.”
“We’re very proud to be involved in this, and it’s going to be ended soon, and if it starts up again, they’ll be hit even harder,” the American leader added.
