Trump: “Kharg Island being blown to smithereens!” VIDEO

US President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social depicting strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island.

“Kharg Island being blown to smithereens!!!” the US president wrote. One of the short videos he posted shows missile strikes hitting structures along the coast, while the other shows them burning and exploding, Caliber.Az reports.

Trump did not explain why he posted the videos. The US military did not report any strikes on the island on August 30.

Kharg Island is located in the Persian Gulf and is Iran’s largest oil export terminal. Trump has previously not ruled out the possibility that the United States could attempt to seize the island.

Axios reported on August 30 that US forces had struck two missile launchers on Larak Island in southern Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran’s elite military force, later said it had shelled US military facilities in Jordan in response to the US strike on Larak Island. Jordanian air defence systems repelled the Iranian attack, according to Al Hadath, which cited a statement from a representative of the kingdom’s armed forces command.
