Trump lays claim to the Moon

US President Donald Trump has described the Moon as property of the United States.

Trump posted a photograph of Earth's satellite on his Truth Social account with the caption “The Moon is ours”, followed by the US flag.

Earlier, Trump suggested renaming the Strait of Hormuz after himself, reasserting that the waterway is under Washington’s control despite near-daily Iranian attacks on ships in the area.
