Trump mocks Meloni again with "restraining order" post

US President Donald Trump has again mocked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, posting a photo of her on Truth Social, with a caption reading "restraining order needed."

In the photo, Meloni appears to look at him with what was portrayed as an expression of admiration, Caliber.Az reports.

Tension between Trump and Meloni has persisted since last month.

It flared after Trump claimed that Meloni begged him “to take a picture with her".

Meloni responded in a strongly worded statement, pushing back against the US president’s words.

“Donald Trump's statements are completely made up. I am frankly astonished. I don't know why ⁠the president of the United States behaves like this towards his allies: it is not the first time, moreover,” she said.
