Trump: “Netanyahu knows who the boss is”
US President Donald Trump has stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considers him the one in charge, revealing details about their personal relationship in a phone interview with Axios.
"We get along very good. [Netanyahu] knows who the boss is," Trump said in a brief phone interview, referring to himself.
Meanwhile, the US president told Axios that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had requested a meeting at the White House and said it could take place as early as next week after he returns from the NATO summit.
The meeting would mark the first encounter between the two leaders since their high-profile Situation Room talks in February, during which Netanyahu reportedly presented a proposal for a joint military campaign against Iran.
However, an Israeli official said next week may be too soon due to Trump’s planned trip to Türkiye for the NATO summit on July 7-8.
“It could happen the following week instead,” the official said.
