Trump plans to broker peace talks between Russia, Ukraine
Upon taking office, Donald Trump, the newly elected President of the United States, intends to swiftly arrange a meeting between representatives of Russia and Ukraine to address key issues.
Caroline Levitt, a spokesperson for Trump's campaign, revealed that following his electoral victory, Trump aims to "negotiate a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine," Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
Levitt further explained that the Republican leader is determined to "bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table on the first day of his presidency to put an end to this war."
In addition to his plans for peace talks, Trump is set to reverse several executive orders issued by the Biden administration. Within his first week in office, he intends to sign dozens of orders aimed at overturning the actions taken by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Levitt outlined that Trump's executive orders would effectively undo the policies introduced by the Biden-Harris administration, particularly those diverging from the successful political course established by Trump's first term.
"This will be a reversal of all executive orders signed by Biden and Harris, designed to shift away from the effective policies of the first Trump administration," Levitt said, adding that the new president plans to sign "dozens of executive orders" during his initial week in the Oval Office.
Levitt also criticised the 94 executive orders signed by Biden in his first week, claiming they contributed to "border crises and economic difficulties."
"That’s why Trump was re-elected— to reverse the course set by Biden and Harris," she concluded.
Trump's upcoming presidency promises significant changes as he prepares to address both domestic and international challenges on day one.
