Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar group claims sabotage at Bryansk substation in Russia
The Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar partisan movement “ATESH” successfully carried out a sabotage operation in the industrial zone of the Volodarsky District in Russia’s Bryansk Region, disabling equipment at an electrical substation, the movement said.
This substation is a vital link for the Russian military machine, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
The substation supplies power to the Polpinskaya station, which is used by rail convoys carrying ammunition and equipment to the front. The power outage causes automation failures and significant delays in deliveries. It also supplies electricity to local enterprises (including the Bryansk Repair Enterprise and others) that work for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The same electrical substation also powers fuel storage bases. Without electricity, they would face problems with pumps and safety systems.
