Trump plans world-leading “DronePort” project inside White House
A DronePort will be built inside the White House ballroom, with US President Donald Trump announcing on Truth Social that it will be "the most sophisticated anywhere in the World!"
According to Trump, the new drone deployment area will help ensure the security of the US capital for many years to come.
The president also criticised Richard Leon, a judge in the District of Columbia, who ordered a halt to the ballroom construction project on White House grounds until congressional approval is obtained.
“Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America’s Security! If anything happens, he will be held responsible for the Death and Destruction caused to our Country,” the American leader said.
Trump further claimed that the judge had already caused significant problems by allowing information marked “Top Secret” to be disclosed as a result of a lawsuit filed by what he described as an “extremely litigious woman.”
The US president argued that Washington can no longer rely solely on rifles and pistols for its defence. In his view, the United States must adopt more modern methods to protect the White House.
