Trump posts poll results showing support for Iran agreement
US President Donald Trump has shared several opinion polls on the social media platform Truth Social regarding a potential agreement with Iran.
According to the data he published, 67% of respondents support the deal.
The materials cited by Trump include a CBS News and YouGov joint survey, which found that 80% of Republican Party supporters view the agreement as either “the best” option for the United States or beneficial for both sides.
In addition, 43% of respondents said the implementation of the agreement could have a positive impact on inflation and the purchasing power of American consumers.
These survey findings follow high-level US-Iran talks held on June 21, 2026, at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland.
The negotiations, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, involved senior figures including US Vice President JD Vance and focused on implementing a recent memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the conflict.
They addressed key issues such as de-escalation in Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz, and pathways to a broader deal, concluding with agreement on a roadmap for a final accord within 60 days despite an initially tense atmosphere influenced by public statements.
