Trump praises meetings with Zelenskyy and Netanyahu as “very good” PHOTO

US President Donald Trump stated that he held “very good” meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that the discussions covered a wide range of issues.

“Great Honor to meet with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, describing their talks as having gone “very well.” He did not disclose further details, saying only that they discussed “many things.”

Trump also said he had a “very good meeting” with Netanyahu, whom he referred to as “Bibi.” “Obviously, many important subjects were discussed,” the American leader added.

However, The Wall Street Journal, citing officials, reported that the meeting between Trump and Netanyahu was rather frosty.

According to the newspaper's sources, Netanyahu arrived in Washington with considerably less political influence than during his previous visits. They said he was highly cautious and sought to anticipate which issues Trump wanted to discuss and what might irritate the US president.

The report added that tensions between the two leaders had been building for weeks, and that until late last week it remained unclear whether Trump would agree to meet Netanyahu at all.

Officials and sources told the newspaper that, as a condition for the meeting, the Trump administration expected the Israeli prime minister to demonstrate a genuine commitment to advancing US-mediated peace negotiations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

Following the roughly one-hour meeting, Netanyahu described it as “one of the best conversations” he had ever had with a US president.
