Trump proposes new name for Republican Party, suggests "Tpublican"

US President Donald Trump, 79, has proposed a new nickname for his supporters within the Republican Party, suggesting that the party could even be named after him.

“There is a new word for a TRUMP REPUBLICAN,” Trump declared on Truth Social, before asking his followers to weigh in on what the word should be. Scorning the more obvious suggestion of “Trumpublican,” which even his son Don Jr. had proposed, Trump speculated: “It is, TEPUBLICAN??? Or, TPUBLICAN???”

The last of these options, Trump noted, would require his supporters to master an unusually complex pronunciation, known to linguists as the “voiceless labial-alveolar plosive.” Experts explain that producing the “t” and “p” sounds simultaneously, without intervening vowels, requires pressing the lips together, placing the tongue against the ridge behind the teeth, and forcing air outward without engaging the vocal cords, Daily Beast reports.

According to linguistic research, this sound is extremely rare, found primarily in the high mountains of the North Caucasus, certain rural areas of Ghana, and a remote island off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

Trump’s assertion that “almost everyone” is a “TRUMP REPUBLICAN” comes as his nationwide approval rating hovers around 38 percent and amid ongoing concerns over his ability to maintain full control of the party during a period marked by multiple scandals and crises.

Additionally, questions continue to be raised about Trump’s cognitive health, with experts citing frequent memory lapses, difficulty articulating thoughts, and sudden bursts of aggression—issues that some specialists suggest could indicate the early stages of dementia.
