Trump pushes back on critics, compares Iran casualties to Afghanistan, Vietnam

President Donald Trump has compared American military losses in the conflict with Iran to US casualties suffered during the wars in Afghanistan and Vietnam.

According to The New York Post, Trump pushed back against criticism from Democrats in Congress by invoking America’s past military campaigns.

“Have you ever asked how many people died in Vietnam? Have you ever asked how many people died in Afghanistan in one day? In one day — run by Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump said.

According to Trump, US service members were dying while fighting for the idea that Iran should not have nuclear weapons and that the Middle East should not be destroyed.
