Trump questions link between Washington shooting, Iran military operation

US President Donald Trump has commented on whether the shooting incident at a White House Correspondents’ Association event in Washington is connected to US military operations against Iran.

Addressing reporters after the incident, Trump expressed doubt that the attack at the Washington Hilton hotel was linked to American military activity in Iran.

“I don’t think so, but you never know,” the president said.

Trump also stated that the incident would not hinder what he described as the United States’ path to victory in its confrontation with the Islamic Republic.
