Trump reignites his Greenland ambition

US President Donald Trump shared an AI generated image on the social media platform Truth Social featuring himself alongside a panoramic view of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland.

In the collage, Trump’s hand appears positioned over one of the mountains surrounding the city. The post was accompanied by the message: “Hello, Greenland!", Caliber.Az reports. 

Trump has previously made repeated remarks about the possibility of Greenland becoming part of the United States, drawing international attention and criticism. However, in January he moderated his stance and ruled out the possibility of a military takeover of the Arctic island.

Since then, discussions between the parties have reportedly focused on defence cooperation, including the potential establishment of U.S. military bases in Greenland.
