Trump rejects claims of US nuclear aid to Iran
US President Donald Trump has dismissed media reports suggesting that the US administration planned to assist Tehran in securing around $30 billion in investments for developing a peaceful nuclear programme, contingent upon Iran abandoning uranium enrichment.
“Who in the Fake News Media is the SleazeBag saying that “President Trump wants to give Iran $30 Billion to build non-military Nuclear facilities.” Never heard of this ridiculous idea. It’s just another HOAX put out by the Fake News in order to demean. These people are SICK!!!” Caliber.Az reports, citing Trump’s message on Truth Social.
This idea has been under discussion for several weeks among key players in the Middle East and the US. One of the proposals involves allocating $20–30 billion in investments toward Iran’s nuclear programme, with the funds coming not from the US but from Arab countries.
The investment issue was discussed in multiple rounds of Iran-US negotiations. Additionally, the topic was raised during a confidential meeting between US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff and representatives from the Gulf countries.
