Trump’s Board of Peace to pledge $5 billion for Gaza rebuild
Member states of the Board of Peace will announce more than $5 billion in funding for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip at their first meeting on February 19, US President Donald Trump said.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump stated that the inaugural session of the Board of Peace, to be held on February 19 at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, will see participating countries announce more than $5 billion for reconstruction and humanitarian assistance efforts in Gaza, Caliber.Az reports.
“On February 19th, 2026, I will again be joined by Board of Peace Members at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., where we will announce that Member States have pledged more than $5 BILLION DOLLARS toward the Gaza Humanitarian and Reconstruction efforts,” the American leader noted.
The US president added that countries within the Board of Peace are also “prepared to deploy thousands of troops” to “maintain peace and security” in the Palestinian enclave.
