Media: Trump's China trip on horizon as he pursues deal with Beijing

US President Donald Trump is considering a visit to China as early as next month, as he continues to focus on negotiating a deal with Beijing since his return to the White House.

Both Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are eager to present such a visit as a diplomatic triumph, although initial discussions have leaned toward Trump traveling to China, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media. 

The specific details of the trip and the level of progress in the negotiations, however, remain unclear at this time. 

A Chinese source emphasised the current challenges in US-China diplomacy, noting, "It is more difficult for Beijing officials to engage with their counterparts in Washington now than it was under the Biden administration, as Washington is undergoing significant changes."
