Trump says he is ready to meet senior Iranian leaders if talks progress “At this point nobody’s playing games”

US President Donald Trump said on April 20 that he is prepared to meet high-ranking Iranian officials if negotiations show progress, in an interview with The New York Post.

“We’re supposed to have the talks,” Trump said, adding that in his view, “at this point nobody’s playing games.”

In addition, a US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance is expected to arrive in Islamabad within hours to participate in discussions.

Iran has not yet made a final decision on whether to engage in the talks, a senior Iranian official told Reuters.
