Trump says Iran denuclearization "moving along well" after Qatar talks

US President Donald Trump said that the United States is making progress in its engagement with Iran, describing recent meetings in Qatar as productive and expressing optimism about the ongoing denuclearization process.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said the discussions had gone well and suggested relations between the two sides had improved, US News reports.

“The denuclearization of Iran is moving along well,” Trump said. “They've had very good meetings, and we'll see.”

The US president added that Washington and Tehran were “getting along very well,” saying Iran had “come a long way.”

“I think they're fine,” Trump said.
