Trump says "loyal" allies already back US-Israel action against Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump said he is not concerned about whether Washington’s allies increase their support for the U.S.-Israeli operation against Iran.
Speaking in an interview with CBS News, Trump was asked about the possibility of broader involvement from partner countries.
"I couldn't care less. They can do whatever they want. The loyal ones are already in," the U.S. leader said.
His comments came hours after the president noted on Truth Social that the U.K. had readied two aircraft carriers for possible deployment to the Middle East.
Trump wrote in his post that those carriers would not be needed, rebuking British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who has been characterised by Trump as acting too slowly to permit the U.S. to use British bases in the Middle East as it launched its strikes.
