Trump says US to "win" Iran war soon, discusses Zelenskyy, AI competition

US President Donald Trump said the United States would win the war with Iran soon and predicted that oil prices would fall significantly once the conflict ends.

“We're going to win this war very soon, and as soon as we win it, the oil will go down, way down to what it was before the war,” Trump said, Caliber.Az reports.

Trump also spoke about his contacts with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saying he had advised him to avoid targeting oil refineries.

“I told Zelenskyy, ‘You gotta take it easy on the refineries.’ There are other things he can do,” Trump said.

Turning to artificial intelligence, Trump said the United States was currently ahead of China by about a year to a year and a half in the technology race.

“We're about a year, maybe a year and a half up on China,” he said, adding that there was no country currently in third place.

Trump said he had discussed AI with Chinese President Xi Jinping, but only briefly. He also suggested that opening up access to AI technology could risk giving up the US lead.

“I think if you, as they say, open it up, you sort of give up the lead,” Trump said.
