Trump smashes records with $250 million inaugural fundraising blitz
President-elect Donald Trump has raised an unprecedented $250 million for his upcoming inauguration, far exceeding the $107 million collected for his first swearing-in ceremony, according to sources familiar with the fundraising efforts.
The funds, gathered through the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee and other affiliated fundraising groups, reflect broad corporate and individual support, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Contributions have poured in from major technology firms, cryptocurrency companies, and other corporate giants, underscoring the significance of Trump's return to the White House.
Tech industry leaders have played a prominent role, with Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Uber each contributing $1 million. Meta’s donation marks its first-ever contribution to a presidential inauguration. These companies, along with executives such as Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Shou Chew, and Jeff Bezos, are expected to feature prominently at the inauguration.
The cryptocurrency sector has also made a notable impact, with Ripple contributing $5 million, Robinhood donating $2 million, and Coinbase adding $1 million. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty met with Trump earlier this month, highlighting their support for his administration.
Traditional corporate donors, including Bank of America and Boeing, also contributed, maintaining a longstanding tradition of supporting presidential inaugurations.
Trump’s second inauguration marks a significant return to power, with fundraising figures reflecting strong backing from diverse sectors, including industries that have not typically aligned with the former president.
