Trump threatens "force never seen before" after Iran signals retaliation
U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened Iran with an attack of unprecedented force if the country intensifies its strikes.
“Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever hit before. THEY BETTER NOT DO THAT, HOWEVER, BECAUSE IF THEY DO, WE WILL HIT THEM WITH A FORCE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!,” he wrote on Truth Social.
The message came in direct response to Iranian threats of a “most devastating offensive operation in the history of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces” (per IRGC statements and state media like Fars/Tasnim), vowing massive retaliation targeting U.S. bases, Israel, and possibly Gulf allies after confirming Khamenei's death.
On February 28, Israel and the United States attacked Iran, striking major cities and military bases. In response, Iran launched a missile strike on Israel. The attacks have continued into March 1.
