Trump threatens new strikes on Iran over Lebanon-based proxies

US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington could carry out further military strikes against Iran if Tehran fails to restrain allied armed groups operating in Lebanon.

In a post published on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump accused Iran of backing proxy forces that continue to destabilise the region and warned of severe consequences if their activities persist.

“Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder,” Trump wrote.
