Trump threatens to sue Grammy host over jokes on Epstein
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to sue Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah over jokes made about him and financier Jeffrey Epstein’s island.
He posted his remarks on the social media platform Truth Social per Caliber.Az.
Trump criticised the comedian, calling him “pathetic” and “talentless,” and added that the Grammys are “unwatchable.”
Noah, while presenting an award to singer Billie Eilish, joked that every artist wants a Grammy as much as Trump allegedly wants Greenland, suggesting that after Epstein’s death, the U.S. president needs a new island for parties with Bill Clinton.
Trump urged Noah to “get his facts straight.”
“It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!” Trump wrote.
The trigger was a joke Noah made during the presentation of the Song of the Year award to Billie Eilish for "Wildflower." Noah quipped: "Wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants — almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you, it’s my last year! What are you going to do about it?"
