Trump to gather top congressmen ahead of government funding deadline
On Monday, September 29, U.S. President Donald Trump plans to meet with four top members of Congress at the White House, according to The Associated Press, citing an administration spokesperson and other sources familiar with the negotiations.
The meeting comes a day before the federal government funding deadline. Without approved funding, a government shutdown could begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on Wednesday, October 1.
