Trump to honour fallen US service members at Dover Air Base
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that on March 7, he will visit Dover Air Force Base alongside the First Lady and cabinet members to pay tribute to American service members who have lost their lives.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “I will be going to Dover Air Force Base tomorrow, with the First Lady and Members of my Cabinet, to pay our Highest Respect to our Great Warriors, who are returning home for the last time. GOD BLESS THEM ALL!”
The tribute follows a deadly Iranian drone strike on March 1 against a tactical operations centre in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait—a key logistics hub for U.S. forces. Six American troops were killed, and 18 others wounded in one of the first incidents in the ongoing conflict with Iran. Officials noted that the strike bypassed air defence systems, and investigations into the circumstances are ongoing.
