Trump touts popularity despite declining poll numbers

US President Donald Trump claimed that his approval ratings are at record highs in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.

“MY REAL POLL NUMBERS ARE THE HIGHEST THEY HAVE EVER BEEN. THANK YOU!!!” the American leader wrote.

Despite President Trump's claims of record-high popularity on Truth Social, recent polling data indicate his approval ratings have continued to face challenges amid broader public concerns.

Analysts note that Trump's job approval has hovered in the low-to-mid 30s to low 40s in multiple national surveys this month, with particularly sharp criticism on economic handling, where only about a third of Americans express satisfaction, marking lows on an issue once seen as a strength.
