Trump: US allowed Chinese tankers with Iranian oil to leave Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has said that Iranian oil shipments bound for China were able to proceed with US authorisation.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump was asked about the three tankers carrying Iranian oil that had passed through the Strait of Hormuz despite the US naval blockade and continued onward to China.
