Trump: US discussing removal of nuclear dust from Iran
26 April 2026 23:15
US President Donald Trump said that the American side is discussing the removal of nuclear fuel and other radioactive materials from Iran as part of negotiations.
“The thing is, we need to take away what I call nuclear dust, you know? But we have to take away that nuclear dust. We're going to do that, and that's part of our negotiations with Iran. We don't want them to have any of that,” he said in an interview with Fox News.
As the US president noted, by “nuclear dust” he means nuclear fuel and other materials that were, according to him, almost completely destroyed during strikes on Iran’s nuclear industry facilities in June 2025.
