Trump: US possesses weapons world doesn’t know about

US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States possesses weapons that are unknown to the rest of the world.

Speaking to NewsNation, Trump was responding to a journalist’s question about the possible use of sonic weapons during a recent military operation in Venezuela. 

“Nobody else has it. We have weapons that nobody knows about. It’s probably good not to talk about,” he said.

On January 3, US forces carried out strikes in Venezuela, including explosions in the capital and at the Fort Tiuna military base. Following the operation, Trump declared it a success and announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. The US president stated that Maduro “is no longer president,” and that the United States would oversee Venezuelan governance until power is transferred.
