Trump vows Netanyahu no compromise with Iran on enriched uranium
US President Donald Trump has assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington will not make any compromise with Iran on the issue of enriched uranium, according to Israel’s Channel 13.
The broadcaster reported that Israel is closely monitoring Trump’s expected decision on negotiations with Tehran.
According to the channel, during recent discussions, representatives of the Israeli military and intelligence services presented Netanyahu with more hardline positions on Iran.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) view the current state of Iran’s military capabilities as an “operational opportunity” to resume strikes and “complete the mission.” The Mossad, meanwhile, believes that a new war could accelerate the collapse of the Iranian regime.
At the same time, a source cited by the channel said that Israel’s leadership is trying not to create the impression of pressuring Washington and is avoiding any display of intent toward escalation.
