Trump warns Israel against bombing Iran after announcing ceasefire “DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS”

24 June 2025 15:51

US President Donald Trump has called on Israel not to strike Iran, stressing that it would be “a major violation" of the ceasefire.

"ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!” Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social, Caliber.Az reports.

Reuters reports that Trump said both Israel and Iran violated a ceasefire he announced hours earlier and he was not happy with either country but especially Israel.

Speaking to reporters before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump said Israel "unloaded" right after agreeing to the deal.

He also said Iran's nuclear capabilities are gone.

Trump said that Israel has to calm down after he said both Israel and Iran violated a ceasefire he tried to broker.

"I gotta get Israel to calm down now," Trump said as he left the White House. "Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I've never seen before, the biggest load that we've seen."

"We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the fuck they're doing," the US leader added.

Later, Trump shared another post on Israel and Iran, saying: “ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The ceasefire between Israel and Iran, announced on June 24, concluded a 12-day conflict that began on June 13, when Israel launched a series of preemptive strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, including sites in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow.

President Trump initiated the ceasefire process by engaging directly with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, informing him that Israel had agreed to a ceasefire proposal.

Qatar emerged as a pivotal mediator due to its established diplomatic ties with both Iran and the United States, as well as its history of facilitating regional negotiations, such as those between Israel and Hamas.

Trump requested Qatar’s assistance in persuading Iran to reciprocate. Qatar’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, then engaged in direct discussions with Iranian officials, securing Tehran’s commitment to the ceasefire terms.
