Trump welcomes Iran’s move to reopen Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump has welcomed Iran’s decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping, calling it a significant development following days of disruption linked to the regional conflict.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Iran had announced the strait was fully open and ready for passage, expressing appreciation for the move, Caliber.Az reports. 

The statement came shortly after Tehran confirmed that maritime traffic through the key oil transit route would resume during the ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
