Tunisia calls on UNSC to put end to Israeli war crimes

The UN Security Council should take measures to put an end to the war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

Tunisia's permanent representative to the UN Tarek al-Adab made such a statement, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

"The UN Security Council needs to immediately put an end to the war crimes and genocide committed by [Israel] in the Gaza Strip," the diplomat was quoted by the Tunis Afrique Press news agency as saying.

He said "the Zionist occupation remains the main cause of the various crimes and violations committed against innocent civilians." "The [Israeli army] attacks in the Gaza Strip constitute a violation of international law, all international and humanitarian conventions," al-Adab added.
