Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation recaps 2024 achievements at expert meeting

The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation convened its second expert-level meeting at its headquarters, in preparation for the upcoming Council meeting.

Representatives from the Foreign Ministries and Ministries of Culture of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye attended the meeting, alongside staff members from the foundation, Caliber.Az reports.

President Aktoty Raimkulova welcomed the attendees and presented an overview of the foundation's achievements in 2024. She highlighted the successful completion of over 74 projects and events, emphasizing the foundation’s commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples. The meeting’s agenda centered on enhancing cooperation among member countries to further advance the shared cultural mission.

Kazakhstan is currently chairing the Foundation’s Council, with the next council meeting scheduled for February 7, 2025, in Astana.

The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation was established following a decision by the Heads of State at the Astana Summit on September 11, 2015. The Foundation's Charter was adopted earlier at the Bishkek Summit on August 23, 2012. Its primary mission is to protect, study, and promote Turkic culture and heritage by supporting and funding various activities, projects, and programs.
